The visionary game developer, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in California he was 55 years old.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The influential industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
