Lando Norris Wins First Formula One World Title in Abu Dhabi In Spite Of Max Verstappen's Race Triumph.

In a display of gutsy driving, the McLaren driver has clinched his debut Formula One world championship by taking third place at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Sealing the Deal with Ruthless Execution

He secured his title with ruthless focus to win the championship that had been within reach but remained just out of grasp as McLaren struggled at the previous two races. These included a DSQ in Las Vegas and then an questionable strategy call in Qatar.

While Norris was crowned the first British driver to take the title since Lewis Hamilton in 2020, the contrast in fortunes between the two was stark. As the young guns battled over the title, Hamilton, the grand champion, could manage only eighth place in Abu Dhabi, a disappointing conclusion to a difficult season with Ferrari.

Making his debut with the Scuderia had been greeted with enthusiasm but produced what was comfortably his most challenging year ever, finishing sixth in the championship and failing to secure a top-three finish. He has appeared weary in the closing races and will look to reset over the winter.
