Beloved Star Pat Finn, Recognized For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Has Died at the Age of Sixty.
US actor Pat Finn, who featured in beloved TV shows like Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has passed away at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist died at home in Los Angeles on Monday following treatment for a cancer diagnosis since 2022, as reported by reports.
"He never met a stranger - just potential friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones said in a announcement.
They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
A Notable Television Career
Finn's first television role was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the brother of the main character.
He subsequently landed a recurring role on "Murphy Brown" between 1995 and 1997.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, playing a social organizer who would assign tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on several well-known programs, including:

- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight series from 2011 to 2018.
His cinematic roles include "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Off-Screen Life
Outside of his television work, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat coached, befriended and mentored many learners over the years and it would be difficult to find anyone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.
Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind said there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," he shared on social media.
Pat Finn is survived by his wife Donna, his three kids, and his family.
